Brooklyn’s A Place To Bury Strangers announce their new single Keep Slipping Away, taken from their recent critically acclaimed studio album Exploding Head. The single will be available on download and ltd edition 7” and comes backed with a new track Hit The Ground.

The single package will also feature remixes from South Central, Cereal Spiller, Richard Fearless, as well as label mates Maps, with whom they’ve done a swap remix – A Place To Bury Strangers’ remix of Maps is due out in January 2010. Oliver Ackermann avers, "I love the electronic side of Maps and how uniquely they combine this with pop sensibilities. It was great to hear an electro-ed out version of an APTBS song and to do a punk version of Maps’ ace song.”

Recorded and conceived at the bands Brooklyn studio, Death By Audio, Oliver Ackermann says of the song: “Keep Slipping Away, was a lead line I had going through my head for a couple of days. It took me a while to figure out exactly how it was played, but the melody is pretty much the same as what I first heard in my head”.

A Place to Bury Strangers Oliver Ackermann (vocals / guitar), Jono MOFO (bass) and Jay Space (drums) will tour the UK in November.
