International Photography Award

Edmund Clark & Giulio Di Sturco

Edmund Clark won the body of work category in BJP’s International Photography Award 2009 with images of every day living spaces in Guantanamo Bay and former detainees’ homes.

Giulio Di Sturco won the single image prize with his shot of a victim of religious violence in India.

Both photographers’ images are printed by leading fine art printer Spectrum Photographic and are on show at the Association of Photographers’ Gallery. In addition Clark receives a £5000 voucher from Robert White and Giulio Di Sturco wins a Sigma DP2. The International Photography Award 2009 is also supported by Blurb Books and Colt Press.

The British Journal of Photography has run the International Photography Award since 2005. The prize has no theme and attracts hundreds of entries from all over the world.
