After having toured through Chinatown and buying all the quaint Chinese articles, one is bound to get very hungry. China Town is famous for its many eateries. You can visit all the places and end up having dinner at one of them. ‘House of Nanking’ is a popular restaurant, which is located at the corner of Kearney and Washington. The smell of vegetables being stir fried and the aroma of food is too tempting to resist. Another restaurant is the ‘Pot Sticker’, which is located at 150 Waverly Place. Here you can get Hunan, Szechwan and Mandarin style of dumplings. The thing that cannot be missed is the Fortune Cookie. The Golden Gate Fortune Cookie factory is located in China town on Ross Alley. Each fortune cookie is handmade and is generally eaten in the afternoon. Chinatown has been a great tourist attraction with many tourists interested in taking the feel of the place and enjoying the ethnic atmosphere. The various streets with its quaint shops and the aroma of food, is enough to make a tourist happy. There are some times of the year when certain festivals are celebrated in Chinatown. Some of them are the Chinese New Year, the Dragon Boat festival (when about a hundred boats which have the dragon theme, take part in races) and the Autumn Moon festival which is also referred to as the Chinese Thanksgiving.
